Who we are

What we collect

If you only browse the site, we collect nothing that identifies you personally.

If you create an account on our Food Cost Calculator, we store your email address, your name, and — only if you choose to give them — your restaurant or hotel name and your phone number. We also store the dishes you save: their names, ingredients, quantities, rates and menu prices.

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read.

Why we collect it

Your email and password let you sign in. Your saved dishes are stored so you can open them again on any device. Your name is used to greet you. If you give us your restaurant name or phone number, we may contact you about HTI training services.

Your costings are private

The dishes you save are visible only to your own account. Our database is configured so that one account cannot read another account’s dishes. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not look at your costings to advise your competitors.

Where it is stored

Account details and saved dishes are stored with Supabase, our database provider.

If you use the calculator without an account, your dishes are saved only in your own browser on your own device. They are never sent to us and we cannot see them.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and saved dishes for as long as your account exists.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Email kaushal@hti-india.com and we will action it within 30 days. You can also delete individual saved dishes yourself at any time.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and for Google Analytics. You can block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to stay signed in.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
