What is the meaning of FosTAC?
  • Food Safety Training & Certification(FoSTaC) is a large scale training and certification ecosystem for Food Businesses across the food value chain. Persons successfully trained & certified under FoSTaC will be termed as Food Safety Supervisor(FSS).
How many courses are there in FosTaC?
  • FOSTAC offers seventeen courses for different types of food businesses on different competency levels. The training for the food safety supervisors would be conducted at the primary, advanced, and special courses through face-to-face mode.
What are the timings?
  • We conduct sessions at a time convenient to our partner.
Who are eligible for FosTaC training?
  • All food businesses having Central Licences or State Licenses should have at least one trained and certified food safety supervisor for every 25 food-handlers or part thereof on all their premises. The food safety supervisors will be certified & trained under FoSTaC.
Is FoSTaC training compulsory?
  • 2017. 4. All States/UTs are now advised to initiate a special drive to take up and facilitate FOSTaC for the licensed FBOs under their respective jurisdiction immediately. The above training is to be made mandatory in phases over the next two years.
Is FosTaC voluntary or mandatory?
  • Yes, we have built this program around Frequently Faced Situations experienced by your staff.
Can I get a refund?
  • No. We don't provide refunds. If you are not sure about the workshop, check out the testimonials, read more about the trainer and take an informed decision. In case you are not happy with the outcomes of a particular session, we can redo the session only ONCE.
What are the uses of FoSTaC certificate?
  • Persons successfully trained & certified under FoSTaC will be termed as Food Safety Supervisor(FSS). These Food Safety Supervisors in turn will train other food handlers in their premises, to create an ecosystem of trained persons.
