About the Director

 
Dominic Costabir,
Director,
HTI India Pvt Ltd,

An alumni of IHM, Mumbai 1990 and has been an entrepreneur ever since. The first 12 years in hospitality were focused on industrial canteens and party catering. He enjoyed the learning experience – crisis management, man management, sales and marketing, after sales service, decision making and problem solving. Dominic also consulted for VSNL’s canteen, Restaurants - Shamiana and Abhiruchi - and handled Annapurna’s operations - served 5,000 to 20,000 meals per day.

In 2002, he quit hospitality operations to start HTI. He identifies niche training needs and develops specific training programs as an effective solution. Dominic personally conducts Management, Supervisory and Self Development Programs. Currently he is consultant to Bonobo Lounge Bar – Bandra and Nature Trails Resorts Pvt Ltd – 8 units in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

He is a columnist for hospitality trade publications viz Express Hospitality, HRA and Hospitality Biz. He regularly contributes articles to The Times of India, Mid Day, Sunday Mid Day, Indian Express, Sakal, Savvy, Loksatta and Maharashtra Times. He has been hosted by various TV Channels (Sahara, E TV, Star, Sahyadri, Saam, IBN - Lokmat etc).

Dominic loves to eat, play and exercise. Is a voracious reader and has travelled extensively around India and abroad – Maldives, UAE, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Switzerland. He’s married to Andrea, Editor of three magazines - ‘Savvy Fashion & Glamour’, ‘Savvy Cookbook’ and ‘Savvy’. They have two children, Storm and Tsunami. His personal mission is ‘Self Improvement’ and professionally he wants to increase HTI India Pvt Ltd’s presence pan India.

    HTI was set up in 2002 with the mission of – “Improving hospitality through consultancy and training”. We conduct training for hospitality and allied industries.
